Harriett Melissa Anthony Morris
My husband's maternal gg-grmo, Margaret Thompson, was the mother of 2 children (Doctor Portland Anthony and Rozanna Melissa Anthony) born after the 1863 death of her husband, Philip Anthony. Your "Harriett Melissa Anthony" appears to be this same daughter. This has been a family mystery!! Do you have any more specifics on this woman, her adoption, her brother -- anything at all would be greatly appreciated. You can email me at rbjem@verizon.net.
Thanks so much,
Judy Melton

Jon Blackwelder
The office informed me Jon Blackwelder was a cremation. I went to the Cremation Garden in Greenlawn and failed to find a plaque with his name on it. Sorry. Jerry Green

RE: Thomas and Ann Blackwelder
that is ok with me if you put it there as credit is not what I am here for, I just want to upload the photos as requested. It is like an easter egg hunt to me in trying to locate the grave sites.

I uploaded full photo with Ann. If you will call Greenlawn Cemetary and ask them for the space and lot number then I will go find it for you using their maps.

Zachariah Spencer Hawkins
The information & photos on this page are really educational. Is there anyway you will consent to me using these items on my ancestry.com tree?
Zachariah Spencer Hawkins is my GG uncle on my paternal grandmother's side.
Thanks and keep up the good work.

RE: William Coleman Simmons
One more thing. While looking at some of the memorials here for Simmons relatives, I noticed that Powell, his wife, and two of his children, have duplicate memorials. Powell has Memorial# 34012894, the one you sent me the link to, and it is shown as Powell Howard Simmons. Then there is a second one, Memorial# 74127289, shown as Powell Henderson Simmons. Based on the information on both pages, it is clear that they represent the same person. I just don't know which middle name is the right one. Melinda

RE: William Coleman Simmons
Hi, Bill. I take it you are a descendent of Powell? I descend from Powell's brother, John Edwin Simmons, then from his son, Robert Henderson Simmons, then his daughter, Alpha Simmons Martin, then her daughter, Mildred Martin Hickerson, my mother. I have some information on Powell Simmons' line through my family tree I have on ancestry.com. I do have a question, though, that perhaps you can answer. I have seen Powell Simmons' middle name shown as Howard in some records and Henderson in other records. Do you know which is correct and why there might be a discrepancy? I always thought Henderson might be a family name since my great grandfather's middle name was also Henderson, as I indicated above. Thanks! Melinda
