Thank You
I just wanted to say thank you for getting the pictures of Mary Clarricy and Frank D. Payne, Sr. They are my great-aunt and uncle and I never got the chance to meet them. Again, thank you so very much for getting the pictures.

Charles H. Raley #101840127
Hi again - Sorry to leave another message so soon, but I've heard back from someone who is familiar with the area and the records. They said yes, that "Salem Church" does refer to the Salem Cemetery Association Cemetery, so his memorial is correct. This cemetery is behind New Salem Baptist Church, but does not belong to the church. My understanding is there are burials that are not on the cemetery list and some of those do not have headstones. There is a good possibility that Charles does not have a headstone, since other relatives have been found, but he has not. Again, I wanted you to know the details up front, so you know what the odds are. Take care and welcome to Find A Grave. There are some very nice, supportive people here.

Hi Stacey. Thanks for claiming my photo request for Charles H. Raley #101840127. I thought I should let you know that since I posted the request, there is now some confusion about where Charles is buried. His death certificate says he died in Atherton, Blue Township, Jackson Co. and is buried at "Salem Church", so I thought that was considered the Salem Cemetery Association. However, I've learned there are actually two cemeteries that are side by side at the church, so now I'm not certain which one he might be buried in. If you still want to look, that would be great, but I'll understand if you don't. I definitely need to check into this further.
