Bio Photo Everyone is free to use my photos on Find-a-Grave, as long as I get credit. :)
I am just trying to do my part in contributing to this site. I found one of my gg-grandfathers by someone who documented a small, out-of-the-way cemetery. No one had known where he was buried.
Besides Pomeroys, I am related to Avis, Claypool, Bottomly, Smith, Adkins, Shuck, Terwilliger, Travis...

Lula Hess

In researching the Hess family, I thought Lula was a Hanson? Her marriage to Ballard on December 12, 1909 in Greenbrier County lists her as a Hanson. If you have different info on the Hess family, please share it with me. Thanks.

Thank you so much for adding the photo, and additional info! I had been led to believe the grave was probably unmarked.

Thank you for braving the cold weather to get the headstone picture. If they are a relative, I will be happy to transfer.

Burns Cemetery
Hi Pamela, Burns Cemetery is located right on Keiffer Road. You can pick up Keiffer Road right off of US 60 right around Crawley, almost half way between the town of Rupert and the intersection of US 60 and I-64. Keiffer Road will be on the right if your coming from I-64 and on the left if your coming from Rupert or Rainelle on US 60. Actually it dead ends right into US 60. When you turn onto Keiffer Road you'll be going East or North East. I would say you'll go no more than 5 miles and run right into the cemetery. Look at the picture of the cemetery sign I placed on the Find A Grave page for Burns Cemetery. If you have any doubt, call Wallace & Wallace funeral home in Rainelle for directions. FYI, locals will some time confuse this cemetery with "Burns Family Cemetery", which is located in Clintonville on US 60 in between At The End Of The Trail Cemetery and Sam Black Methodist Church. Pamela, the views from Burns cemetery on Keiffer Road are Beautiful! Thanks, Happy New Year! Joel
