RE: Holger and Beatrice Beckwith
Hi Randy! Well, I just checked and it looks like you figured it out. Congrats. And I trust that the spelling in the caption - "Holgar" - was merely a typo. If you'd like to correct that, just click on that photo and, at the bottom of the next page, "edit caption". Finally, if you have any more info re Beatrice, let me know. Like I said before, "I would sure like to know the disposition of her remains. Was she buried? What is the name and location of the cemetery? Was she cremated? What are the details? What was her exact date of death if you know it." Tom

Holger and Beatrice Beckwith
Whoops! I hit the wrong button! Like I was saying below, did Beatrice indeed die in January of 1974 without having ever remarried after Holger's death? And do you happen to know where she is buried or where her cremains are scattered? I don't absolutely have to know this information but I'd like her page to be as complete as possible before I transfer it to you. (After the transfer, you will have sole editorial control over the name at the top of the page and everything on the left hand side. I will no longer be able to make updates.) So let me know and I'll take it from there. And as to getting all this data? My library here in Kansas City, MO subscribes to the Ancestry.com website which is free to the patrons as long as we're on a library computer. Maybe your own library also subscribes? And then there's the FamilySearch website which is free to all. You can access that one from your home computer. And like the advetisement says ...You don't have to know what you're looking for; you just have to start looking! So please get back to me about Beatrice. And have a great weekend!!! Tom

RE: Private Holger A. Beckwith
Hi Randy, Before I transfer management to you, I'd like to work up a page for your grandmother Beatrice. Then I can transfer all of those transcripts from Holger's page to hers. So, like I said in my message below, if you have any information about her. Did she, in fact, die in January of 1974

Private Holger A. Beckwith
Hi Randy! As you may, or may not, have noticed, I now have "management" over your grandpa's Findagrave memorial. I had only intended to initiate the process of adding the cemetery "plot" data to his page but the CWGC/ABMC transferred management to me instead! So I fully intend to transfer management on to YOU in a few days if that is your desire. (I noticed you are a newbie to Find A Grave so may not want to be "responsible" for managing a memorial. Trust me on this; there nothing difficult about managing a memorial so please let this be your first memorial page! Anyway, if you call up Holger's memorial you will see that I have posted a number of database document transcripts which help, I hope, to tell a bit of your grandfather's story. Please take a look at this and let me know if I got anything wrong. (I maintain any misspellings on the transcripts for a reason, by the way.) And I would like to create a new memorial for Beatrice, too, but I would sure like to know the disposition of her remains. Was she buried? What is the name and location of the cemetery? Was she cremated? What are the details? What was her exact date of death if you know it?. Actually, you can post all of this data yourself once I transfer ownership of both pages to you. So, please use the "reply" button to the left and let me know what you think. Finally, Welcome Aboard. It's always nice to have another member join the Find A Grave community. Tom
