Started my family research 60 years ago when all was done by mail or car, (gas was $.35 a gallon!)A good part of my information was from relatives long since departed, and have been trying to source the information I was told was correct. (Ha Ha) During my searches, I would come across FAG, and when I had something that was different, I would send a message to the person telling them. Was told a couple times I had to be a member before they could accept it. So, about 10 months ago I joined. Sent a few edits in, and really got involved about three weeks ago. I really thought FAG was a good resource, until then. In the first week I found three of my own relatives with incorrect information. I won't go into that here. I just recently found the "edit" section, and only knew of the edits that were accepted. When I submit an "edit' I have a substantial source, and if it's declined, you will here from me wanting an explanation.
Have spent most of my life in and around Elyria, OH, and have many relatives in the various cemeteries. Family has been in Lorain county since they bought land from H. Ely in the 1800's
You want a transfer, if it's not a direct relative of mine, you got it. Can't stand these people who hoard these memorials like they were gold. Some even claim to "own" them. Dictate what can be posted!
When adding a memorial please be accurate. Don't assume! M.D. could be middle ints. not a doctorate, and "UNIS" is probably an abbreviation.

RE: Lloyd R.
I found this from an Ancestry Family Tree. It was common to use the mother's maiden name as a middle name for a child. If I find something different, I will definitely correct his name.

William Melhinch

yes, he is listed under William Mellhinch. Would you like a transfer?

Hey Nick, I think I figured it our. I am the one who took the cemetery pic with the St Mary's sign. You can choose weather you want that pic on your memorial or not.

RE: Sadie Meta Rodgers
Yes, this is the same Sadie who married Clarence A. Hornung. Odd that she would be buried with her maiden name on the stone. I've updated her memorial. Thanks for writing.
