Re: Photo request for Wickman (1873) at Mt Hope

In my experience, people who request photos for these memorials with very limited information may just be wanting to find out more information to determine if this is a person of interest to them.

So, with that in mind, I wanted to explain that the memorial for Wickman (1873) was created from an entry in the Mt Hope Interment Records ( that says "Fred'k Wickman's child" who was stillborn. It is almost certain that there is no surviving marker for this child given that the location where they are buried (M single graves) his very few surviving markers and that they are not listed in this survey of surviving legible markers in the section: So, the most we'll be able to provide you with is a photo of the general location of the burial.

RE: Belle Robson & Leroy Cofran?
Would you like a transfer of the memorial? I am not related.

RE: Agnes LAne
No, sorry. I'm not a descendant that I know of. I do have a branch of Lane's in my distant family from Oklahoma but my great aunt married into the Lane's so not a blood descendant.

Thank you,

RE: Cofran
The Cofran and Kerns Harris photos I took are in Block 30 and I photographed that entire Block so there are no more in that area. No other Cofran;s listed in cemetery, but as you know from your photo requests there are other Kerns. Block HH, where the Kerns are listed, is a tough steep area to get to even in good weather.

The Keokuk Public Library is a good local genealogy resource. They would have city directories for every year that should include the Cofrans. Also a good index of obits in the local papers and microfilms of the papers as well. Good luck.
