Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a historian, preservationist and a genealogist. I love to find our ancestors, learn about their lives and then find where they finally lay, so that we never forget them. For it is our ancestors who came before us and it is they who gave us life with Jesus' will.
I love to get pictures for those memorials here that have none. Although I cannot travel far, I will do my best to get a photo of your ancestor's final resting place.

RE: Marker transcriptions
Sorry, one more message (I hate Findagrave's message system, I can't see your message while I answer). I just received a response on the problem with photos uploading wrong and it is a software problem on their end.

Copy and pasting my posting helps with long conversations like ours. Well, some got turned and I imagine the rest will in time. This has been a problem before.

Marker transcriptions
If you click on the word "Edit" on the top right of an memorial, it will take you to several choices. One is "marker transcriptions" and that is where the information besides the name and dates goes...such as "meet you in heaven" or "at rest".

According to the Find A Grave guidelines, flowers with this or bio information will be deleted.

Using this edit procedure, you can change dates or spelling of a name as the ones on the marker is what goes on the memorial....even if the marker is wrong.

And, the photos are being rotated at my request by the website photo editor. :)

Did you take a overview photo of the entire cemetery for the profile page?

RE: Zinc Cemetery
I don't plan to go to the cemetery but do want to put something on the Zinc Cemetery profile page about the condition, that it was clean-up in August 2015 for photos and all stones seen that day were photographed. I will mention that this is private property, markers can be seen from the road and that markers may have fallen over and now covered with inches of leaves.

I will give the GPS that you have.

I live in FL and I know that in FL and AL per law family members have to access to their old cemeteries. I don't know about AK or if that have a cemetery preservation group as some states do have.

Hall cemetery
Do you know the caretakers name for the Hall cemetery in Eula, Arkansas? Eula is located west of snowball, arkansas and does not show up on current arkansas maps. I want to find locations of Ruff gravestones which temporary markers have been removed.
