RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 86279182
The information in the bio section came from the website ajlambert where data on relatives of the siteholder are included by cemetery. I have no knowledge of this family personally and can't verify any information.

RE: Arthur Jones Tombstone

The 4 in the picture is part of the inscription "Faithful Member of Mount Sinai Circle No. 664."

This same inscription is on a dozen or more identically shaped and sized headstones in the cemetery, all of which date from the late 1890s to the 1930s. I have done a small amount of research on this, but with little success. My best guess is that it is/was some kind of church organization. None of these stones have any birth dates.

Arthur Jones' date of death was several inches below the leaves and detritus, but I got to it without too much trouble.

The temperatures today were the highest in weeks, so this was a perfect reason to go out and enjoy the day!

Thanks, hope this helps,

Sure thing. I'll probably get out there tomorrow. If I can get to the stone, I'll be sure to get the date. If I remember correctly, I didn't get it the first time because it was in a very dense clump of trees, and I was running out of daylight.

Thank you for being civilized, unlike the people I've been encountering on here in the past two years.

RE: John S. Hawkins 1817 - 1888
There was a book that contained all the Forsyth County Confederate veterans that cited his service. I don't remember the name of it but it was at the county library. State Guard records are very hard to find and verify.
