Bio and Links
Bio Photo Newly retired and bitten by Genealogy bug. I love the mystery and suspense of finding my ancestors in the Czech Republic. Was never much of a history buff, but this whole process is giving me a sense of what life was like in the Austrian-Hungary Empire in the 1800's and why my family chose to emigrate to America. I never knew my mother's parents, and this is a way for me to 'get to know' them. Currently we are also searching the Pittsburgh, PA area for graves.

RE: picture
You are quite welcome . Our Lang and Ruckel family is buried a few feet away, but I always forget exactly where . I needed to take some pictures to remind me !

I did take a picture of the space where the stone should be. We also used a knife trying to feel for a stone under the sod - there was one spot where possibly could be one or a rock but it was about 4 or 5 inches down. If you'd like I could email you the picture that I took.

RE: Lakeside Cemetery
Hi Audrey. Thanks for your kind words. I'm glad I could be of help.

I think they will have the records you are looking for at the courthouse in Phillips. Otherwise, I know of other places where you might be able to find useful information. Let me know if you need help finding anything, and I'll do my best to help you.
