RE: Tuckers in Evergreen
If you know the section, I'll also take a look. If not, you are in for a very large search.
Have a great day.

Tuckers in Evergreen

Ms. Mitchell, the records keeper for Rose Hill and also Evergreen cemeteries has no record of your Tuckers in Evergreen. If you have any idea what section they may be in, let me know and I'll attempt to locate them.
Have a great day,
Dennis (popeye1234@live.com)

Jubal Clark Jr.
When you get the Findagrave thing fixed, please let me know as it will not usually correct on Ancestry for some time. If I can help with that, let me know. Thanks

Jubal Clark Jr.
I just got back on computer. Not ignoring you. The reason I asked about Jubal Clark Jr is He shows buried in Bethlehem Cemetery and Frances Virginia Abercrombie Clark shows she is buried in Midway United Methodist Church Cemetery. Also, their graves are not linked as husband and wife on findagrave so I did not know for sure which cemetery is correct.. Now, Frances Abercrombie father was Jefferson Stobaldi Abercrombie (1862-1931) Buried in Florida. Mother was Frances Virginia (Fannie) Sammons. (1862-1943)Buried in Georgia. I am trying to get her Obit to post on Ancestry. Jefferson Stobaldi Abercrombie father was John Harris Abercrombie (1821-1912) Mother was Emily A Hyde (1833-1918). Look For a family tree called The good, the bad, and the ugly. My cousin owns the tree but I do a lot of work on it. It is a public tree. Hope this helps you. If not, you now know how to contact me. Good luck.

I am related to the Abercrombies and am working on extended family tree. I see that Jubal Clark and Frances Abercrombie Clark share a tombstone. However, Find a grave shows one picture but list them in separate cemeteries. Are they not buried together or is this an error? Thank you.

RE: Jimmy's gravesite
Wish there were more I could do, but many of the old 'undertakers' are gone and their records with them. Who knows, maybe some day I'll get a call from the folks at Bilbrey with good news. If so, I'll pass it right on to you.

Jimmy's gravesite
Sorry to say I've had no luck at all. The City has no records at all, save for a list of headstones taken recently. Bilbrey Funeral Home was very nice but they also have no records. The person I spoke to said if she came across anything she'd let me know but I doubt I'll hear a word. She also cited the lack of records during that time period.

RE: James Eldon Phifer
You'd be surprised - here in this area, I'm told by several funeral directors that death certificates weren't required in TN until the 1950's and many funeral directors had poor or non-existent records prior to that era. Many gravesites were sold 2 and 3 times and they have no idea who may be buried there. It was, at best, a very slipshod affair.
The Town of Crossville owns and maintains CCC. I'll see if I can find out anything, but don't be too optimistic as there may be no records at all.

Jimmy Pheifer
I think you're probably right your assessment that he may be buried in babyland, though in an unmarked grave. I photographed every headstone and funeral home marker that could be found at CCC and sadly I found no marker for Jimmy. There's one source you may try - Bilbrey Funeral Home in Crossville, TN. They did and do many of the burials in Cumberland county and may have done the funeral for your brother. If they didn't, I'm fairly positive they can point you to another source. There's a maintenance fellow at the cemetery a few times a week and he may know something as well. If you're not in the area, let me know and I'll try to track down this man and ask if he has any sources.
