I am available for Ventura, Santa Barbara and sometimes Los Angeles Counties. I am not shy to go to the cemetery office to inquire about locations.|

Thanks for your quick response to my request. I have a 1938 Old Spanish Days poster/print that was saved from an old issue of Santa Barbara Magazine. Roy LAWHORNE's name is in the bottom R corner. He apparently taught at Santa Barbara State Teacher's College [precursor of U.C.S.B.] and was listed in the Santa Barbara City Directory in 1927 as a sign, scenic, and commercial artist. From 1936 through 1941, Seaside Oil Co. sponsored the Fiesta posters and later underwrote the fireworks displays at the Old Mission. I am not related to this fellow, but i was born and raised in Santa Barbara and have enjoyed tracking down this bit of local history.

Thank you for their headstone photo. Would you please add the photo to her husband's memorial, George Shults # 90317875. I really appreciate you taking time to do this for me.

Thank you so much. You will never understand the gratitude I have for this. Now we have a photo of his resting place. If he was anything like his son,he was a dear man. Allen has a great respect for this man. I am honored to have been able to find this site and very thankful, it led me to you. Thank you so much.

Don't take this the wrong way but the info you gave about Cemetery Park is not 100% correct, none of the remains were removed unless a transfer was requested and paid for by a close relative. If you go to the park you will see ground level markers/headstones all over the park. I went there today but could not find James Leonard's marker, afterwards I contacted the City of Ventura and they verified that his remains are there but there is no marker.

Thank you for the link. I'm not from the area but I find the story both fascinating and disturbing.
