|Texas Mike||Memorial # 116910784|
Thank you for your work on Find A Grave.
With respect to the captioned memorial, Gilbert Smith Matthews, is this someone that you have researched? If so, will you share information with me.
My interest is that I now think my GGG Grandmother, Martha E. Mayo married Gilbert S. Matthews in 1875 in Hunt County, Texas. They appear on the 1880 census.
Martha E. Mayo was widowed in Coweta County, Georgia in 1857. She was on the 1870 census there as a widow. In the early 70's, two of her daughters, Rebecca (m. to Sampson Hollon) and Almeda (m to Henry M. Garrison) moved to Hunt County, and I think she must have accompanied them there. She disappeared completely from Coweta County, Georgia after 1871, when she was appointed Administrator de bonis non of her deceased husband's estate, apparently to close it out.
I have searched for her high and low, and when I found the marriage in Hunt County I thought that would be a breakthrough, but have not been able to find her after that appearance on the 1880 census, and, of course, I am virtually certain it is the same person, but not positive.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

I have sent requests to link all of J.W. Warbington's children. We are supposed to give them a month to make the changes and then I will email Find A Grave and get help making the changes. I have found that the key is to check the box to send myself a copy and then I just put it in a folder and check every month. I am so happy to get this family sorted out! It should be looking really good by next month or so. J.W. is my hubby's 2nd G-Grandfather too! That makes you cousins.
Thanks! ~ Tiffany Farnsworth Nash #47423100
Thanks for the updates on WJ & Ludie Warbington! So glad to have them resting where they belong. Keep the corrections coming! I will get 'em done! Thanks! ~ Tiffany Farnsworth Nash #47423100
Sheri, Changes have been made. I discovered that there ia a duplicate entry at another Shady Grove in Forsyth County. I am working to have the sites combined. Wish we luck. Sincerely, Wesley
