Bio and Links
I was born in Washington state and have family there and all over the western US. My family originally was from MA and Nantucket, VA, NC, SC to OH, IN, and IA. My childhood was spent in Wisconsin, my youth in northern Idaho, my young adult life in western Colorado, and my adult life mostly in UT,WA,ID and now for some time in western NC. I've been active in family history for some 45 years and still enjoy it. My religious background is Soc of Friends (Quaker) and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon), both of colonial ancestry.

To a mother
Emma Sturgeon Memorial# 5928952

It would be impossible for Emma to be the mother. As Emma Was only three years old when she died.

She was born 1855 and died 1858

Was Bessie's mother Medora Hiatt married twice? I see on her headstone the name Knight. I want to make sure we are talking about the same person before I make the change.

The pictures are wonderful for Levi and Harriett Bailey. I appreciate your time and walking the cemetery to locate the sites and the pictures. Thank you. May you have a great day.

Gravestone Photo Permission
Thank you for photographing the gravestone of Julius Anderson Alford in Mount Moriah Cemetery. I appreciate it.

I would like to add this gravestone photo to the (non-profit) Alford American Family Association's collection of North Carolina Obituaries, where his obituary is (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at http://www.alfordassociation.org/OBITS/NCOBIT.htm.

May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:

Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—www.findagrave.com
Permission granted by the photographer, Rai Cammack

And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

Best regards,
Pamela Alford Thompson (Find A Grave #47195155)
