I'm writing because I'm trying to obtain information on the Kemper brothers (I believe) mentioned above. They are very important historically as early filibusters in West Florida and Texas in 1805 and 1812.
The Nathan you have noted is a close match - the mother is the same as I've seen in other records. However, those records give a date of 1775. From a variety of sources, I've established that the three Kempers above are likely brothers, but you do not list Reuben and Samuel as siblings.
I'm working on a master's thesis in which Samuel Kemper plays a very large role and would like to find out as much as you know. Please email me at jb2136 at txstate.edu.

Hi Barbara, Just wanted to thank you for your posts for your Kemper kinfolks pictures. Each bit of info does wonders for keeping our ancestors alive in one's memories. Thanx again, and have a great day.

I am currently researching those at rest in Shiloh Methodist Cemetery outside Warner Robins, and Byron, Georgia, specifically the veterans of all wars. I noticed that you had Walker Kemper (1846-1920) listed in the flower memorial as your Great-great Grand Father, and a "Veteran of the Civil War." I was trying to find the specific Confederate unit in which he served in Louisiana, so that my preservation group may property recognize his service. If you have ANY information or record of his service, can you please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org? Any assistance would be appreciated! Thank you!

I don't know at the moment, but over the weekend I can get my files out and send you a follow-up message. We have to be related somehow and closely I would think.
So I will write you from home and will have a different e-mail address. Now you are using my office e-mails.
Say "hi" to Linda for me.
Thanks for writing.
Are you related to the Kempers in middle Georgia, specifically, William Garrett Kemper and wife Hattie, children Annie, Lena, Robert, Harry, Edward, and James? If so, I'd like to ask a few questions if you don't mind. Please contact me at LadyG8r924@wmconnect.com. Thanks. Irene

I would say that your "duties" would be to maintain an honorable memorial with accurate information. I feel like the site should be treated as if you were in an actual cemetery.

Hmm....I don't think I got a virus. I heard back from Mr. Davis but he said he didn't know anything about Nathan Kemper's children. Thanks for the info. Try emailing again....it might work.

I've updated the memorial. Thanks.

I think we might be related by Nathan Kemper. Would love to write or talk with you to find out what you know about him. Did he own a sugar plantation in Bayou Sale?
