|I have been conducting family research for over 7 years now but didn't realize I could take photos for this site until I signed up to thank someone for uploading a photo of my father's headstone. Since then I've tried to help out as much as possible by taking photographs in my area. Others may say this is not a site for genealogists but I disagree. A wealth of information can be found on a headstone. |
I don't consider any of the memorial pages I've created as "mine" unless they contain my family so feel free to ask for transfers if you find my name on your family member. Please don't hesitate to request my original photographs either since what you see is re-sized for this website. I enjoy getting out and taking photographs and I hope it helps give back to some of the people who have helped me out with my own family research.

Thank you, Cindy, but that's ok. They are not related to me either. She was the first wife before my great grandfather met my great grandmother. I should leave it for a blood relative, but thank you and thank you for linking my great grandfather to his first family. Linda

Hi Cindi, Thanks for linking them up. C. T. Short's second wife, Mrs. C. T. Short (Janey Eliza Pruitt) was my great grandmother. I have some ancestry papers and saw that his first wife was listed along with the daughter they lost. I thought it would be nice if they were all linked. I have contacted Jack Hollis who created C. T. Short's site (my great grandfather) because he has Louvera Short listed as his wife also. She is actually his daughter-in-law. She was my grandfather's third wife, my step-grandmother. It is all so tangled and interlinked, but fascinating. Thanks again for your help. Linda

Wow! That is a really bad headstone! Can't even confirm the dates on it, but thank you for taking the photo!
Thanks for all you do for Find A Grave

I see that you have photographed headstones at the Rose Hill Cemetery. I have recently visited this cemetery while during family research as my Great Grandparents are buried here. A.S. and Cora Neal. I added them to find a grave. While there I also photographed a number of other headstones which I will add soon.
I was wondering if you live in Hope because I am going to do more research on this particular cemetery and I'm looking for a local person who I might hire to do some local leg work for me. I live all the way in Florida, so it's not convenient for me to go to Hope Court House, or to the cemetery.
Anyway, if you are in Hope and have an interest, please reply.
