Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am awed by some of the people who have taken time to create memorials often times for people they do not know. With Grace and dignity hand over the memorials to their descendants as they meet them. I love the families taking over the Memorials because I want to hear what the families have to say about the deceased. The primary focus of all research should begin with what did those who knew them or heard stories about them have to say. Memorials are not just about creating a page and leaving it blank. It is about REMEMBERING the ones who have gone and leaving memories and relevant facts about their life. Families can do that.

I am very interested in getting as many of my family "linked" as possible. I have been very impressed with how so many will help make this happen. Thank you all!

I will not request a memorial unless I feel I can significantly add to the memorial with added information. I will however accept responsibility for them if it is voluntarily given. My family comes from Western NC and Spartanburg-Greenville, SC. I was born in Spartanburg. My Mother died in 1990 and I inherited massive amounts of documents and photo's which I would like to add to memorials. I do not make a practice of adding photos to memorials I do not manage and I do object to personal photos being taken from memorials. Feel free to use photos of markers or obituaries, but please ask before taking personal photos. If you are a cousin I would LOVE to meet you and will always give direct descendants permission to make copies of ancestors.

More than anything I want parents, children, husbands, wives, aunts, uncles, cousins, and siblings put back together.

I have been researching since 1983.

Descendants of William Lynch father of 34 children now has a FB page:

Come and join us if you are one of the many many descendants!I am actively looking for new descendants to join us from every branch that descended from William Please contact me if you are one of these people!

Peter Jerome Johnson
I tried sending this to your email and it came back Just wanted to let you know about what I did.

After spending almost 2 days checking every available record I come to the conclusion that my records are right about Peter. I do still have one puzzling item that I can't explain. He was the son of Oney Caroline Johnson. The
census and death certificate of Joseph Pinkney Johnson and Rachel Julia Jones who had the initial PJ was Paul Jones and I have proved to myself that they only had ONE son P J and he was on the 1870 census listed as James age
2. On the 1880 census P J age 12 and his name was Paul Jones and he married Grace Short. They lived in Asheville.I am convinced that I have this solved. Thank you for being my sounding board. I emailed Jennie Giles and told her all that I had found. I felt that I had the right parents because Peter had a son, Clingman (family name) and a daughter Oney (for his mother). Neither of those names appear in Joseph Pinkney's family.I don't know how to get the info on the Find A Grave corrected but I hope it will be. I am trying the hardest I know how to keep going over my records to be sure they are as near 100% right as I can make them. I have had to delete one of my gr gr grandmother's and put unknown even though many people have just gone ahead a left a name in error.John Justus Sr married twice and his second wife had been married. He married Anna Gilliam in 1791 and people have him as only marrying once, He started having children in the 1770's and they have all the children as belonging to Anna Gilliam who had previously been married to a Wilkerson.Thank you for letting me vent to you.You are indeed a heroine in my book anyway for helping others through your work with Find a Grave and I want to thank you for doing this. I know you do not get nearly enough credit for all the work you do.Thanks,Eleanor Morrison Lawson =

Oney Caroline Johnson's Children
Gail, I am trying to get as much family info as I can on Ancestry for my descendants and for connecting families who are interested. I, too, am originally from Henderson Co, NC and now live in SC (Whitmire) I have run into conflicting info on Caroline's children and though I have gone over all available info (census, death cert, Find a Grave, etc) I cannot sort it out. If you are familiar with this family or know anyone who I can contact, would you let me know? I am especially having a problem with Peter.

PS I am 88 and the Lord has blessed me to leave me here to do this, I think. My health is poor. I descend from Hiram King Jones through his daughter Emily. Please contact me.

RE: William Lynch father of 34 children
Yes I believe that may be the case. My grandparents were John Cephus & Margaret Arizona (Burns) Walls. John's parents were William Cephus & Lucy A. or J. (Whidby) Walls.

RE: William Lynch father of 34 children
Yes, I am, on my mother's side. She was a Lynch too. Her parents are Clyde Lynch and Eunice Ranes Lynch. Clyde's parents are Phillip Lynch and Fannie Lynch, both of whom are buried at Gardner Baptist at Church Crossroads north of Macon in Warren County, NC. His mother was Julia Lynch. Julia was an unwed mother. Julia's parents were James Head Lynch and Anna [maiden name unknown]. James' parents were William Lynch, Jr. and Nancy Wright. The correct spelling of his last name is Linch. Jr.'s parents were William Linch, Sr. and Rachel Steed.

I'm not related so I just transferred the memorial. It will be easier that way. I would rather the memorial be with a family member even if it's not a close relation.
