Pam, I've been doing family research for almost 40 years so I've learned a few tricks along the way. If you are just starting, I would recommend that you join the local Genealogical Society, listen to older member..they are more than willing to give you hints and pointers, go to workshops and talk to all your family members and write down what they have to say..and most important document where you got your information! If you live in OKC, then the Historical Society has copies of most of the Oklahoma newspapers and you can locate obits from them. Cssh Johnson's information came from his obit. You can contact the Bartlesville Public Library and get a copy (they have rules about what they can do and charges..I've found out this isn't a cheap hobby if you want to do it right). Good Luck.

RE: Thaxton
Bertha Bell Johnson is the daughter of Artisha "Artie" Ditman and Cash B. Johnson. She was born 13 Jun 1894, Dewey, Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory. She died 17 Mar 1933 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri and was buried 20 Mar 1933 in the White Rose Cemetery in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She and Ben Thaxton were divorced. Hope this helps.
