The genealogy bug has bit me hard! At least, when I have time to do so! My mother's side of the family is fairly well researched on several lines — all the way back to John Alden on the Mayflower for one line, but my father's side of the family had never been researched. My dad is now in his mid-70s, so I began researching about a year ago. It's led me to "meeting" a second cousin, and fellow Find A Grave member, Carolyn Gardner Sturdy. Together, we've made a great team chasing one lead or another, chipping away layers of information, to make some wonderful discoveries along the way. So much fun!!|
My primary family names that I'm researching are: Watts, Adams, Christensen, Dawson, Kraemer, Porter, Robinson and Graham.
I fully give permission to use any photo I've uploaded in the spirit of sharing family genealogy.

Hi Shannon. I am presently working on my geneology and we are distantly related! Lois Harrington and my great great grandmother (Mary Jones) had the same husband, Mr. Harrington. Did you know Sarah Elizabeth Harrington Robinson was the first white baby girl born in Utah? Also, that Lois and Mr. Harrington came across the plains together in 1847? I'm finding all kinds of interesting facts. Anyway, Hi from Denver. Sincerely, Julie

added info to Amos Curtis memorial - does't seem to be more than one Ida Curtis at this time, so I guess ok!

Thank you. I couldn't decide where to place Sadie - I should have a picture of her stone!
Lacey Boyer Dawson's parents are buried at LaHarpe Cem. I'm almost sure she's buried at LaHarpe, but I haven't found her stone yet. I found one of her siblings at a different cem, so I'm not placing her at LaHarpe until I'm sure.

I have added the photos, and a different one to Harry's memorial. Happy to help. Patri

Well, Lacey Ann (Boyer) Dawson died in LaHarpe, IL on June 6, 1915. James Oliver Dawson died in LaHarpe, IL on June 11, 1912. There SHOULD be Illinois death records online for both of them if that's where they died, but I can't find them which means a name was probably spelled wrong on the death certificates. Lacey was spelled Lacy, or James was called Oliver. Based on when he was born, there should be a Civil War record for him, but I can't find one. And - they're not buried in Henderson Co. so it must be Hancock County. I'll keep looking!

I will look around for James Oliver & Lacy Dawson. I spend a lot of time wandering around cemeteries taking pictures since I retired so maybe I can find them. I also just added a memorial for Martha Penny Summers, if you'd like to manage her memorial, if you're interested in the Penny family. I don't know how I missed her when I did her husband's memorial - I had the picture of her stone & everything.

Apparently I am having some issues with Find A Grave tonight as it keeps sending my messages before I am done typing. LOL. I have transferred care of Josiah Penny to you. Sorry about the first message, my inbox sent your original email to my junk folder and I just happened across it. So sorry for the confusion.
