I've live in Piqua almost my whole life. I'm fairly new to ancestry/genealogy. It's something I've taken up the past few years and I'm trying to do things in a fashion that my information and findings can be easily shared. Any obituaries and cemetery info that I find I try to put on here and on

On my father's side I'm searching back my Francis name (miami/Shelby co.) Including Heine (auglaize), Bonie (shelby), and Hitchens (auglaize). On his mother's side , I'm doing Mccarville, Mcardle (both wisconsin), Koenitzer (piqua), and Landkammer (auglaize).

On my mother's side I'm doing Evans (chillicothe/piqua), Fisher (piqua), Magill (union co/piqua), Lansdown (union co). On her mother's side I'm searching Holtzapple (auglaize), smith (auglaize), Ford (miami/shelby), and Knapp (miami/shelby).

I've been fortunate with finding several immagratyion dates and civil war info. At this point I'm not sure how far back I'll keep going but I do my best to link people on this site and post everything relevant. I'm slowly getting better at this site and I'm hoping to get most of my immediate family transferred to me.

Thank you for the Mary Byers correction. If she is a family member I would be happy to transfer the memorial.

RE: McArdle
Hi Dan. When was the last time you visited John or Catherine (Gilmore) McArdle's Memorials? My computer man and I tested out my new hand held scanner. What do you think? I'm pleased and he took my Monitor because it finally totally died yesterday. Susie 47375864

RE: McArdle
Hi Dan:
I'm sorry I'm just now able to get back with you. It's a busy time with Reunions, family get together's and now tomorrow I've a funeral to attend the last oldest Crow/Ryan cousin of mine from Belmont, WI and will be going to Mineral Point as well.

What type of information are you looking for? I've posted much on their Find A Grave memorial. My printer, copier, scanner and monitor are all needing replaced but the monitor will have to come 1st or I cannot do anything on my computer. Yes, I have located my binder. Maybe you can tell me what you're looking for and I can let you know when I get my tech equiptment replaced. Bad for me too that that both are going out at the same time. :(

I'll look forward to knowing specifically how I may assist you, but in the mean time, I can pass this "tid-bit" your way and hopefully it is of some interest to you When I was in Mineral Point last week, the curator/my shirt-tail cousin, Mary Alice Moore, saw this, had cut it out and gave it to me, "from the current Mineral Point paper, "The Democrat Tribune": 110 Years Ago (1903) Sophia McArdle has been re-engaged to teach the Waldwick School. She gave good satisfaction, and was not absent one day during the entire school year.
* As you may already know, Sophia was born 21 July 1868, Mineral Point, WI; Md. 4 Aug 1910 NY, NY; Died 27 Jan 1919, Debuque, Iowa. (Dau of John & Catherine (Gilmore)McArdle. I've yet to write and request a copy of their marriage license and certificate from there yet. Would you be game to do so? I'd be happy to go in 1/2 with you for expenses and just request a copy of the same. Susie

Teresa Cerentano memorial
Thanks a ton for tracking it down. The memorial was created by someone else who must have read it as Tracy. The obituary reads "Trecca" but, Teresa is a family name that's been passed around so, I'm sure its correct. Many, many thanks.

RE: McCardle
Hi Dan:
You are on the right track and in fact I was hoping I'd find someone on this line wanting to follow up on what I found in New York City, appears to be another brother of John McArdle's (?). We will have lots to share Michael & Mary (McArdle) McCarville had nine childdren. So glad you are interested in your Roots too. I've been working on this since I was 16 but slow going when I was raising my girls in OH. Susie

RE: McCardle
Dan: Do you spell your line, McCardle like above? The ones here spelled it McArdle. I had to LOL when I read you were from OH because my daughter called me today, who resides in OH. I lived in Champaign County (1996-ca 1990) and Logan (ca 1992-1996 in Logan). I am 53, so you are the ages of my two older daughters who live in OH. My youngest lives here in WI. She just graduated this year from UW-Platteville with a degree in business and works in Madison for Bau-Mattic (milking equiptment). Her emphisis was Chain Supply. She just turned 23 earlier this month. Thank you for sharing your lines with me. I have something to line you up with now and hopefully something to share with you. You must have seen my Scotland reference via the Boston Pilot papers of the 1800's. Susie

RE: McCardle
Hi Dan! So nice to learn of another GILMORE cousin. I am unable to pull out my Gilmore Binder at this time to view your line but wanted to make sure you knew how glad I was that you wrote and exchanging info. Will be sure to get back with you in a few weeks when my husband and I will not be high deep in household projects (I hope :) ) May I ask what State you are from? Susie
