Garrett Cemetery
For those looking for the Garrett Cemetery, I have not been there but as for what info I have in my family here is the best I have. You can see some satellite images on google earth.

While the garrett land was in both Alabama and Georgia, it appears the house and cemetery are on the Alabama side. Randolph County, and Chambers County meeting Troup County

the general area is 33 degrees 06'27.94"N, 85 Degrees 14'03.76"W
Google Earth that and the house was probably a quarter mile from that point in any direction south of the creek. The last picture I have of the house was taken by a relative in 1995 and it appeared that the house could not stand for much longer.

RE: Howard Family
Hi Nancy,

Your welcome. I'm sorry that I couldn't find any new information for you.

I have a memorial for a James Marcus Patrick (Jan. 5, 1876 AL - Jan. 29, 1925 Bessemer, Jefferson Co., AL), who is buried at Forrest Cemetery.

I did check on him, since his wife's name was Susie. I thought she might have been Susie Goodson, Mother of James Morris Patrick....but I think I remember James Morris Patrick being shown as a Jr. on his Ala Death records.

I didn't know if James Marcus Patrick was in a family line you were working on or not, but please don't hesitate to let me know if he is, and you would like him transferred to you.

Until Later.....God Bless,

Howard Family
Hi Nancy,

I wanted to reply to your recent e-mail edit suggestion. You had ask me if I would mind keeping an eye out for your relative, Bonnie Howard Patrick, and if I were to run across her, if I would mind letting you know.

I don't remember right off hand, researching a Howard family. I may have a Howard line somewhere in among all my family lines, but If so, I can't recall them at the moment. Since I'm not researching the Howard family lines, I doubt that I will ever run across Bonnie Howard Patrick, so wanted to let you know that I'm sorry that I couldn't help you with finding her.

I did try to do some research for you, and I looked at Alabama Deaths, 1908-1974 and I found a James Morris Patrick, Jr. (born est. 1916 and died Feb. 14, 1967 in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama.

His wife is shown as Bonnie H. Patrick.

His Father is shown as James M. Patrick and His Mother is shown as Susie Goodson.

That was all that I was able to find for you. I hope it may help you a little.

Until Later.....God Bless,

Bertha's Memorial
I transferred the memorial to you. The date on the tombstone is probably correct. I am quite capable of 'typos' from time to time :)

Otis Copeland
Hi Nancy,

I linked him to his Mother, but I can't link him to his Daughter. The person who has management of her memorial will have to link her to Otis.

I'm not related to Otis Copeland, and wondered if you would like for me to transfer the management of his memorial to you.

If you would like for me to transfer him to you, just leave a reply message on my Contributor page, and I'll be glad to transfer the management of his memorial over to you.

Until Later....God Bless,

I seen you put that Leanord C. Copeland's (Nobile Hill Cemetery)grandfather was Tom Howard. I know his mother was Neelie Howard. Would you mind sharing the information and sources you have on her parents and grandparents?

Garrett Cemetery
Thank you for responding to my request for the location. There are several people looking or the cemetery, unfortunately we don't have good directions.

If anybody finds it, I will let you know.

Garrett Cemetery

Unfortunately I can not provide directions for this cemetery. The late Miss Nell Orr of LaFayette, AL, was a GG-granddaughter of Jesse Garrett and copied the epitaphs from the marble slabs covering the graves. I have seen photographs that she made of the slabs, and also of the old Garrett home that was still standing when she visited the cemetery, probably in the early 1970s. Her notes state that it was hard to determine if the cemetery is in Alabama, or Troup County, Georgia, as the Garrett land was in both states. I am sorry that I am of no help on this.
