If you don't know where you came from, then you can not know where you are going.

I don't know who said that, but it makes a lot of sense. We must never forget those who came first and have gone on, as there is a part of each of them in us.

We should ask the older ones about the ones before themselves, as they may remember tidbits of family history that most family members didn't know, or have forgotten. Never miss a chance to talk family with the older ones, as you never know what you may learn. And, as the old saying goes, Don't be afraid to ask questions.

RE: Ada Oden FAG # 65886281
Whew! I don't know why I did that!! I have her in my records as the daughter of Matthew Jeff Oden and Margaret Leeman. I'll edit the family links. Thanks for letting me know about this error. ;-)

Hi Keith,

I made the transfers. I wasn't aware that you had created a duplicate or that they had been merged.

Best regards,

Thanks for catching my error, having John Lawrence in the wrong cemetery. I have deleted my memorial as he was already listed in Cullman Heritage.

I accepted your edits. :) Are you family? I'd gladly transfer his memorial if you are and you would like to manage it.

Thank you,
Sara Parsons

RE: Thomas Monroe Lovvorn
Dear KW,

I began a new memorial for my grandfather's oldest brother because the person who recorded Uncle Roe's name and date is no longer active.

There are two people who took the names of those buried in Randolph County to (it seems) boost their numbers but the names on the memorial had no meaning. Now that Find A Grave handles this fellow's 100,000+ memorials, I found that my "suggestions" did not make it on to the memorials.

I want to tell my relatives' story and so people like you can read it and know the depth of their lives. As a child, I sat on the porch with my grandfather and was so lucky to have heard so many of his stories.

I prefer to keep Uncle Roe on a site that I can add or edit future information I find.

Thank you so much for your comments, and by any chance are you a descendant of Roe and Susie?
