I've always found interest and tranquility in searching cemeteries. I'm so glad I found this site. I'm excited to help others remember their loved ones while continuing a passion I've had since grade school.|

|Frank K.||RE: Berlin Cemetaries|
Regarding your question about Berlin cemeteries:
The old St.-Matthäus-Friedhof is were the Brothers Grimm are buried (among other family members). That one is located in the Berlin district of Schöneberg. The Friedhof III der Jerusalems und Neue Kirchen Gemeinde is located in Kreuzberg, a few miles away.
The problem with the JNKG III is that it borders 4 other cemeteries and without paying real good attention you end up in any of the other ones without knowing it.
On the page for JNKG I is a map that shows the relationship of the 6 cemeteries, collectively known as the Friedhöfe vor dem Halleschen Tor":
Please check all 6 cemetery listings before you add graves, because they might be in different cemeteries.
And again the Grimms are not in any of the JNKG cemeteries, but in St. Matthäus.

I don't know how much help I can be to you as far as stories about the Gaylord's. My grandmother really didn't share any stories about the family with us. I'm sure she had a few she could have told as she grew up in Nora Springs.
Mrs.Gaylord is my 3rd great aunt and her children are cousins of mine.
I do have information about them that I have acquired thru research of the family for my genealogy.
Most of what I have came from the Historical Society in Nora Springs. They have quite a bit of information but again no stories. The one thing I do have is Helen Gaylord's obit which is quite interesting and does tell her story of early life there.
Feel free to email me if there is something that you would like to have. My email is public on Find A Grave.
Good Luck with your project.

Thanks so much for adding the picture of her headstone. It is beautiful. I really appreciate your help.

Thanks for the info on Florence Percy.
|Trish Coate||RE: Emma|
Yeah, the stones you uploaded to Emma's are incorrect. I'd have you put them on Elizabeth Goble's page, but her stone was already previously photographed, so do you just want to delete them for now? I wonder if Emma's is there but just too worn to read, since I noticed there's no death year on her page, just a month and day. Thanks for hiking out there though. :)
