Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired math/science/history teacher for the middle school in Tallassee, Alabama.
I love working with ancestry and am glad to help out others who are searching their ancestors.

My sweet husband Jim goes along and helps me walk and search. He has also caught the ancestry bug!

I enjoy making connections with present and past. If we have an idea of where we came from we can look forward with knowledge of who we are and all the possibilities for the future.

RE: I'm Back
Ida I'm so sorry to hear of Jim's father and your sister. I've never had the shingles but I know it's so painful. I've had a rough year physically but am doing alot better. I moved a month ago. I let my ex-husband have the camera I was using to take grave pics. Our divorce was finalized Oct. 20th. I won't be taking any pics until I buy a camera. Maybe Dec. or Jan. I'm way behind in my email of making corrections and thanking photographers for taking pics. I'll get to that this weekend. I left you my email from when you had some questions. You can email me anytime. God bless!

RE: Duplicates
Hi - yeah, Find A Grave has been know to misbehave:) You can't merge memorials however, if you want a memorial merged you can send an email to edit@findagrave.com along with the memorial numbers and request they merge those memorials, however you can just delete your duplicate memorial by going to the memorial and on the top right corner of the memorial you'll see Transfer Management, Edit, Delete - click on Delete, you'll then be asked "Are you sure you want to permanently delete this record" and select YES. Hope this helps, if not, just let me know :)

Cumbee Headstone Photo
Thank you for the photo of the Memorial of Caroline Trent Cumbee. I was beginning to think she did not have one. It is always exciting to get a photo, to know someone cared to leave a headstone for their loved one. I appreciate all you efforts in getting this photo. Many Thanks!
Have a Wonderful Day!

Ida we have a duplicate of Florence, your's having been created four days before mine. I am asking that you remove your posting for a couple of reasons. Firstly Florece "Peggy" is my aunt and on the site I created I have her husband, parents, siblings and children already linked. I know ordinarily I should be the one deleting my posting but because I have all this information already in the system, it would be a lot less work for your to delete yours. I appreciate your consideration and thank you for the work you have done on Find-A-Grave.
