Correction related to Serena Hershey
Veronica Snavely's parent's names were actually Abraham Barr Snavely and Elizabeth Buckwalter.

Serena Hershey Burial
According to an online (Ancestry.com) story about her brother, Milton S. Hershey, Serena was buried in an unmarked grave at her mother's family plot in the New Danville Mennonite Cemetary. Her mother's name was Veronica Elizabeth Buckwalter Snavely. Her parents were Joseph and Susan Snavely.

RE: Serena Hershey Burial
I haven't forgotten you. I wrote to the author of the book about the Hershey family. I told him what I was looking for and never heard from him again after the initial contact. I have written to him twice again and no reply whatsoever. Maybe it's a deep family secret where she's buried...

RE: Serena Hershey Burial
I heard back from the author of the book just a couple hours ago and I told him what I was looking for. Hopefully he'll have something.

RE: Serena Hershey Burial
I have not forgotten you. I looked in the book I have "The Relations of Milton Snavely Hershey" and believe it or not, there is no mention of burials for anyone. I am quite surprised about this. I would have thought this would have been a 'requisite' (sp?) part of a genealogy publication.

In light of that, I sent an email to the publisher of the book (Sunbury Press) in hopes that they forward on my message to the author, Lawrence Berger-Knorr.

I will let you know if I hear anything back. I will follow-up on this as I am just as curious as you.

RE: Serena Hershey Burial
Oh. I forgot to tell you. We won't be back home until about August 11th. It is really strange that nothing says where she is. One would think that wherever she was buried, that she might have been moved to a family plot somewhere. But one never knows. Deb

Serena Hershey Burial
I have a book on the history of Milton Hershey with tons of names and such in it. I am on vacation now but when I get home, I will look into it and see if there is any more information on Serena. Deb

RE: jimmy holder
Sorry, I don't know any personal details. He was buried in one of the veterans areas surrounded by comrades, not family that might give you background names. The military headstone was ordered on 1/14/1949 by Catherine Smith, 3027 Higgins St., Toledo, OH if that name means anything to you.

Good luck with your search.
If it's only a few, send me names and I will find them for you as I have time.
Let me know if I have created any memorials that you would like transferred to you.
