Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born in Houston, Texas, to a T&NO railroad family.

Grandparent Surnames Baker, McConaughey, Alexander and Goodman independently arrived in Texas about 1880.

I have been sorting through and recording family collections and stories most of my life, expanded by hours in Clayton and other Houston and Texas libraries and archives. Exploiting the web as it developed, to meet cousins and grow the family epic.

Finding Find-a-Grave has added another rich source for completing family stories. I try to return the favor by helping link families as I work through a double Windows screen of Ancestry (TexasBakers) and findagrave. I am so grateful to the generous contributors who are willing to transfer the care of family members I have spent my life with.

Transfer made. Sorry to take so long. I was on vacation and didn't have good internet connection.

I try to add and link families for my hometown cemetery, in particular, and others, as well. I am not related. Would you like for me to transfer to you?

RE: Anna Crossan Vigars
Actually, I am distantly related to Catherine Frances Murray who married Thomas Alexander Crossan. She is my GrGrAunt. I found her burial site and requested photo and got the photos of a large amount of the block of Crossan graves in Eldora. Since I did not want them to get lost, I was trying to piece this family together because I also believe that families should be tagged together. If you would take over connecting these people, I would appreciate it. Thomas and Catherine Crossan are in plot B5L6 so I suspect everyone is buried in one very large plot.

I have transferred her site to you per your request. It is always a honor and privilege to transfer to family members.

I do not have proof of this. Do you have any documentation to back up this theory.

McCloskey's in San Fernando Cem. San Antonio, Texas.
Hi Mildred, I have added the information to the memorial. Good grief, that stone is not very clearly on the name. I am going to go again and re-take it. Oh, yes, I am sure you and I will continue to document every stone and every time we can. I love to do it, best of all, I love to research someone that has no other family with the same surname buried in the cemetery. I am so curious why and what they were doing away from their family. I am also surprised, especially when a family member did not know where they were buried.
You have a good weekend and thanks for the information. One day, someone from the McCloskey's will come and claim the memorials.
