I will consider a request for a transfer of a memorial I have created, if it sounds reasonable, for example, if the requestor is more closely related to the decedent than I.
I am also a photo volunteer, concentrating on cemeteries in Vermilion Parish near Kaplan, my home town.
It is the policy of Find-A-Grave that the person who takes a photo automatically owns the copyright to that photo. Only that person may copy that photo or alter it. Others must have the permission of the copyright holder.
Any volunteer photo I have taken may be used freely by the person who requested the photo, for personal use only. I can be acknowledged as the photographer, if desired, but it is not absolutely necessary. Pictures may not be used for commercial purposes. I will consider a reasonable request to transfer the actual copyright to a photo, for example, to a person more closely related to the decedent than I.

Thank you for photographing, and documenting, the grave of Sister Marie Rose Wedige.
Photo volunteers like you are the backbone of FindAGrave, for whom I am profoundly grateful.
With all best wishes,

That makes sense now looking at the dates! I've had to transfer information and apparently had listed Jean and Jacques and brothers rather than father and son. ;) Thanks for straightening me out! I found a sketch drawing of Jean if you don't have a copy of it already.
I have my own copy of 'The Moutons' but for some reason, can't put my hand on it at the moment. Had some construction done in my home and haven't found where it was packed in the mean time. :( I'm in Rayne, but am disabled and try to do as much from home as I can. I started back in 1987 a few months before my grandmother passed on.
Thanks again, Glenn about the info on Cossinade. I suspect that could be where Azelie is buried given her DOD, but maybe in an unmarked grave.

YES!! I realized I had misspelled it after I had sent the message! Is it possible that a cemetery still exists? I know that the Abshires in question were originally settled there, before Kaplan came into existence. I am relatively sure her husband, Lessin, is buried in Kaplan Cemetery from the request for a military headstone, however Azelie died 37 years earlier. I was just wondering if she may have been buried in Cossinade.
|ChezaRayne||RE: Mouton Family|
I was looking at the Mouton Ancestry list you sent me some time ago, and noticed that we are not listing the early line in the same way. I don't have immediate access to my 'The Moutons" book, so thought I would share what I show:
Jean Diogene dit Neveu
Dermas (my grandfather)
I'm particularly interested in your Jean from France as my records show 'Antoine Mouton' as the father of Jacques. Could you elaborate a bit?
|ChezaRayne||Azelie Simon Abshire #103306912|
Hi, Cousin Glenn!
Just wanted to say thank you for all your efforts in trying to locate Azelie's gravesite. I have a fellow researcher in Kaplan that may be able to add a little light to where her final resting place might be and will file again if anything else can be added. Are you familiar with an area south of Kaplan known as Coussade?
