|My interest in genealogy is what led me to this site. Since my family came over from England and the search for family grave sites etc in another country is difficult, I felt that by getting information on the internet here, (since we are mostly a country of immigrants, whether you like the word or not) it would make it easier for researchers from out of the country to find out some of the things about their families. I hate to see some of the older headstones falling into disrepair and want to catch some of them while they are still legible and before their history is completely lost. |

since i am just a contributor, i refer most questions to the FG Q&A and general guidelines. I cannot help you with guideline clarification.again, I think FG contributors do the best they can in an honest effort to memorialize individuals as well as post family research data.

regarding your question: "After you called my attention to the rule about not including any living friends and family in the bio section, I try to be very careful and leave that additional information out. I notice that is not always the way others handle the situation and wonder why (see #47588721)? " prob not the memorial you intended. Not sure when or why i mentioned the rule, but i try not to do that because it might upset someone. sometimes people forward this info to me for inclusion...in general, I think FG contributors do the best they can in an honest effort to memorialize individuals as well as post family research data.

I am of no relation to this person. I am compiling a virtual cemetery of my grandfather's WWI artillery regiment, the 306th Field Artillery.
