I am recording all McAteer genealogy.
I would be most interested in any leads, comments, corrections etc.
I would be more than happy to communicate and discuss data. Please feel free to drop me a note.
Any and all McAteer relation transfers will be gratefully accepted and I will maintain and care for them properly.
If I've entered a family member of yours & you'd like to manage it, do ask - I'll hand it over the memorials, just ask.

|E McAteer||McAteers of Newry|
My husband is a McAteer and his family is from Newry, County Down, Ireland. We intend on going to Newry soon for a visit and to track down graves at the Newry Old Chapel Cemetery. I was wondering if you'd like a copy of any data we collect for your research (names, dates, grave photos).
|Calmly Searching||Patricia McAteer|
I have been doing photos in the Cemetery in New Port Richey. I notice no one has claimed your request for Patricia.
This is a huge cemetery. There is no way to pull up and read a board and find a location. Everything is done through the cemetery office.
My suggestion is for you to please call the office at 727-849-9281. Tell the receptionist that you need to speak to someone who can look up the location of your loved one, and get back to you when they locate Patricia.
Once you have the info, please leave a message on my contributor page so I will be able to go in and look for her. I will need to know what Garden and row and plot number.
Sorry for the delay, but I will certainly be willing to do the photo if you are willing to get the info.
|Alison||Mary Theresa "Molly" McAteer Malmberg|
I checked at the Catholic Cemetery office, there is no marker for Mary but she is buried along side her husband Charles Joseph Malmberg 1918 - 1965 in the veteran's area of the cemetery plot # 258.10
If you would care to make an entry for him I can add the photo for you. please let me know when I need to add the photo

|spanielfam||Ollie McAteer - Alto Reste Cemetery|
While taking Ollie's gravestone picture today, I located a grave marker for a Dennis McAteer born June 8th 1875 but their is no engraved death date. It is right beside Ollie's to the left. According to Alto Reste's records, they only list Ollie being buried here. Do you know if Dennis was buried somewhere else???

I have located a scanned copy of the Pennant, Saskatchewan District history book from the 1980's. An entry for Jones Blair can be found at this address:
All the best.
|Marc Kinleyside||Dunipace Cemetery|
I visited Dunipace today to look for your request for a photo of Stephen Collie's headstone. I'm glad to say, as you will see, that I was able to locate the grave and take a photo for you.
I did not realise that you were looking for other graves in the same cemetery as I had taken note of the request last week.
I did fulfil one more request for you though as Robert McAteer is buried with his grandson.
I will look for your other requests next time I am through there, unless someone else gets them first of course!
|B. C. B. : :=)||rogers @ Barrie Union|
All of your rogers in Barrie Union are in the same plot as the Lt. His military and Myrtle are beside each other facing the family marker.

Here's the link for the Roger's family that you wanted looked up. If you need actual photo's just let me know & I'll head out there. Cheers :)

Elizabeth McAteer Blair. Monument #111552887
From a local history of Pennant, I have Elizabeth's date of death as Feb. 14, 1946. Heart Attack
Husband Jones Blair:
From that same history, date of death March 10, 1940
He was 70. That would put his date of birth as about 1870.
He apparently got confused getting off the train in Pennant, went the wrong direction for home and froze to death in very cold weather. He'd not gotten more than 100 yards.
