Genealogy is my passion. My greatest and first love. I've been a genealogist for 30 years.

I love walking through cemeteries to find long lost relatives. I love the tranquility that comes with visiting cemeteries.

I usually photograph in the summer and upload during the winter or when the weather is bad.

I'm still fairly new to FAG and still figuring things out. Please use the edit button to notify of me of any edits.

I just found the headstone for my Uncle & Aunt Margaret 1921 - 2008.

Do you have any other information, we were not told and this is my Father's only brother. Is their an Obituary?

Louis Bisson: unusual news item
The following item recently appeared on CBC, and was copied to the Yahoo news feed:

In summary, it indicates that a Louis Bisson had left behind an unexplained suit of armour, apparently of Far Eastern origin, which wound up in the museum in Ft. Smith, NWT, in 1995. They are seeking more information on its provenance. I note that you have photographed the grave of an individual of that name, buried in Cold Lake, whose date of birth is consistent with his being a WW2 veteran. If you have any further information on that individual, I believe the administration of that museum would appreciate your sharing it.

Wasyl & Maria Dowhaniuk
Tonya - Thank you for your reply. I couldn't find them online at any cemetery. I have never been to Flat Lake so haven't physically looked myself. It is much appreciated that you are taking the time to add all these records. It is certainly a big undertaking!

Wasyl & Maria Dowhaniuk
Hello Tonya - I believe you will be adding info from Riverside Cemetery in Vegreville, as well as Bonnyville Cemetery and St. Paul Cemetery. I am looking for the resting place for Wasyl and Maria Dowhaniuk who were pioneers in the Flat Lake area. Would you have any information about those people? Also when do you expect to add the Riverside Cemetery information? Looking forward to hearing from you.

Re: Ole Howe
Thank you Tonya, for the info you passed along. I will continue to try and confirm Ole's burial place but will leave it in Beechmount for the time being.

Re: Ole Howe
Tonya --
Thank you so much for contacting me. Um-m, perhaps you can help. I know that an inscription for Ole is on Clara's gravestone in Elk Point (thank you so much for posting a photo of the gravestone!). But, the reason that I have him interred in Beechmount is because he is on an actual cemetery list for Beechmount with his plot listed as Block 0182 Plot 0033. The cemetery list that I referred to is on-line. So, although he has an inscription on Clara's gravestone, I went with Beechmount because of the cemetery list. Is there any way that I can actually contact Elk Point to see if he is listed on their cemetery list? Can you pass along a phone number to me for the cemetery office? I should have requested a photo from Beechmount......
Thank you!
