|Samantha||Italian Cemetery memorials|
When Retaggio dumped about 37,000 memorials on Find A Grave in the Italian Cemetery he only put a first name, a last name, the year of burial (or re-burial) and that message that he would fix the memorial (the way it should have been done in the first place) IF someone wrote to him and requested it. HOWEVER . . . .he never followed up on the promise . . . there were MANY complaints to the Find A Grave administrators so they transferred all his memorials to me to fix.
I am erasing that message off the memorials as I go so if you see a memorial that still has it, I haven't gotten it erased yet, but every memorial in the Italian Cemetery will have it gone when I'm finished.
I will see what I can find on the Comis family for you. Give me 2 days OK? I just have a minute to get started today. More tomorrow.
I'll also see what I can find out for you about the headstone.

|Barbara Straten||Grimm headstone|
Thank you so very much for your kindness in finding and photographing this grave stone for me. Now all I have do do is find out if it was my relatives. Been looking for Ellem South Grimm for a while but since she was Barbara and John South's daughter and they were buried in this cemetery I'm leaning towards that theory. You have helped me with One more piece of the puzzle. Respectfully, Barbara Straten
I added yr additional info to this memorial, if you want to review it. Thanks.

Find A Grave Memorial# 7928009. I'm not sure what you are suggesting, in your email ?

Thanks for all your efforts!

I started to see that the twp numbers on the location didn't match anything on the Berlin Twp maps. I dug out the cemetery maps which were engineer's maps with all the cemeteries marked to identify burials with an emphasis on which graves were of veterans, specifying the war(s) in which they served. Their map puts Brent Cemetery in Brown Twp, south of CR 14 (hard to read, looks like distance 2??? ft, maybe just 2??), and east of Twp 164 (can't read distance).
I checked the Knox Cem. book (bought a set, I was using them so much at the library), and it has Brent in Berlin. Surely, it is in Brown.

The old version of the directions came from the cemetery book, sorry to say. I'll check a couple of other sources that might have something about it.

Thank you for the corrected cemetery location for this lone grave.

Thank you for trying to find Tamzin's grave - I sure appreciate your efforts. She might have a faded tombstone but she might also be in an unmarked grave.
