RE: Herman Leon Pickens
One of my daily routines is to go through some 24 sources for obituaries and add them to my computer, and to FindAGrave, as required. I've been doing this since 2007. I normally do it in the evening and as we have a dozen or so people locally who contribute to Find A Grave from obituaries there are usually not many left for me to do except maby for those that were added by the funeral homes to their web sites late in the day. Of the about 15 new obits daily I may end up doing 2 or 3 or so with the remainder that are known cemetery burials having been added by others previously in the day.
The Madison County and surrounding area is well covered by Find A Grave volunteers such as I, either from obituaries, photographing cemeteries, or just updating existing memorials with new information.
BTW, I've turned the memorial over to you to manage.
So sorry to hear about your loss.
Sidney

RE: John & Vince Emery graves
Thank you so much Barry. That is very kind of you. My mother's family are all from northeast Alabama. Mostly Jackson, Marshall and Madison Counties. A handful of my aunts and uncles still live in Alabama today (Grant, Guntersville and Scottsboro mostly), but they are getting pretty old don't get to our family cemeteries very often anymore. I visit some of them and see family graves once every few years or so (I live near St. Louis, MO.). I have ancestors and living relatives from your area in Owens Cross Roads. Last names or Guthrie, Guffey and McLain.

Anyways, short story long, thank you so much. I really do appreciate your help and kindness.

RE: John & Vince Emery graves
Hello Barry,

Thanks so much for your response and help. I really appreciate it. I basically just need the Embry graves there. Should be about 10 in total, but whatever you can find I'm more than grateful. I believe there are Oliver graves there too (relatives of mine also), but not certain if they are buried there. I'm going off of others list.

Thank you so much,

Joe Day
