RE: Cleve B Allison
On the 1900 census it gives Oct 1891 which is what he gave on the draft card and most of the records have a similar date. I think there was a lot of variation with dates and without a birth record it is difficult to say with certainty. On the draft card in 1917 he had a wife and child and was working as a baker in Chattanooga.

WWI draft records give his birth as 28 Oct 1891 in Dalton, Whitfield, GA.

I have been researching on ancestry.com for years but I also use familysearch.org as it is free, and have several subscriptions to different newspaper sites which help with obit and marriage records.

Glad I could help!

Are you sure about the first marriage? He would have only been 14 years old in 1905.

RE: Cleve B Allison
Your timing is wonderful as I just located him this week. I found him in New Orleans after seeing a LA death notice for someone by that name in Mar 1939. Then I found his obit in The Times-Picayune on Mar 15. He died on the 14th in the Marine hospital and was buried in Valence Street Cemetery. It listed his wife Lillian, son Troy, sister Emma Hunter of that city, and sister Mae Guilmett of Philadelphia.

Hope that helps!
