Moses Ketcher
Thank you for the information on Moses Ketcher / Catcher, the Indian burial in Neugin Cemetery in Oklahoma.

I added some information to the bio section to try to clarify it a bit, you might want to check it and see if you can understand what I am doing here. I will have to do some more research, but I think there is a good chance that you are correct, and that whomever suggested those parentage links for him, may have been in error. It wouldn't be the first time I have had to reverse something on a memorial that I had been sent via a suggestion, addition or correction, so I wouldn't have a problem changing the parents if the ones showing are incorrect. Actually, I was intending to ask you if you had a better photograph. That is too bad! Good luck with you search and please do let us know if we can help in any way.

I will try to get a better shot of your great-grandmother's grave. The photo might be better when the shadows are longer.

You probably already know this but I just discovered that your great-grandparents were the grandparents of fallen WW-II veteran Glenn Wilson Jones. His name is on the plaque of the Veteran's Memorial in Memorial Park and his photo is on Memorial Wall in Memorial Station. Both are in Memorial Park here in Belton. His was quite a story. Here is a link to his memorial just in case there might be some confusion. Pull up his photo and read the caption to see what is on the Wall.

Clyde Hood
Aaron Hood
Hi Harry,

My name is Clyde Hood and I am the author of two books on the Hood family: The Thomas Hood Family and The John and Richard Hood Clan. I am currently wrapping up research on a third book on Hood families which will include the Lucas Hood family. I saw at the findagrave.com entry for Aaron Hood that you supplied the information for his and Anna Spradling's wedding date as being 1792. What is your source for that date? Also do you have original sources for the birth and death dates of Aaron and Anna? Aaron's death date at findagrave.com is given as January 13, 1843 but I have found the death date in the Stock Creek Baptist Church records given as January 16, 1843.

Please write me at cbhoodiii@aol.com. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Clyde Hood

Aaron Hood & Anna Spradling

Harry,

Thank you again for the marriage year (1792) of Aaron Hood, Jr. (70839000) & Anna Spradling (70839179).

If they are ancestors of yours, and you'd like me to transfer their memorials to you... just let me know, and I'll be happy to oblige.

Welcome to Find-A-Grave, my friend! The vast majority of people here are very nice. If you do have a run-in with a snooty person... well, just brush it off, and stay on the sunny side. :^)

And thank you for being a contributor here.

Best Wishes,
Terry
