RE: GOODES+
I have Martha as Nash's wife but her last name as Banister. Are you doing your pedigree on Ancestry or another pedigree site?
Unfortunately Nash's Find A Grave memorial doesn't indicate who his wife was. *Bummer*
Hummmm. I'd really like to know the answer to this one.

RE: GOODES+
Hi,
Yes I have Glidwells. The first one in my pedigree is Mary Glidewell (I have her birth date as 1745), her father was Nash Glidewell and his father was Robert, then Daniel, and his father is (another) Robert. Apparently Robert's father was Aymes Glidewell. I just got Aymes sometime since last night when I was working on it.
All of this is on my mother's side of the family.

Where is Hoptown? I'm not familiar with it, or is it a slang term for a particular city in Texas. If so, I think I know which one it is. :0)
I'll have to look at what I have in that line, some of those names are familiar.

The Goode family
Hi,
While checking out something on Find A Grave I came across your message to someone else. It interested me because I too am related to the same Goode's that you are. My maternal grandfather's (Lt. Thomas White Newsome, CSA) wife was Marthena Goode Newsome, her father was Private Daniel Campbell Goode, and his father was also named Daniel Campbell Goode. My research goes back, so far, to the 1300's. The Campbell and the Goode families seem to intersect several times along the way.
My maternal grandmother's maiden name was Campbell. Her husband (my grandfather) was the son of Thomas White Newsome. See how much they weave together? Lol!

I will keep on tracking and let you know if I find anything conclusive...so far nothing.

RE: All That You Do!
I'd say that we are most likely distant cousins. :) I saw you found me on ancestry too! You can use anything I have on there!!! Where is your dad buried? Is he on here too? I've not worked on my maternal side since my father passed in March. I've been working pretty steady on his side.
Glad you found me.
