|I'll be PLEASED and HAPPY if you'll use and share my photos of headstones for historical and family purposes! I'll be HAPPY if you do, and disappointed if you don't! So, SHARE, SHARE, SHARE! In return, please just direct people back to findagrave when you can, so they'll use this wonderful site. |
ANOTHER NOTE ABOUT MY PHOTOS: I often digitally remove the birthdate of the living spouse from a double headstone, as a courtesy to the living, to protect identity-sensitive information from being readily available on the internet.
ABOUT ME: I have other pursuits, but what could be more interesting than telling about one's involvement in genealogy and cemeteries? :)
One of my earliest memories is cleaning the family cemetery plots. My uncles, aunts, and parents loaded up the garden tools and us kids, (I was three,) and we raked and weeded. The sun was coming up, and I was taught that we will all be resurrected someday. (One of my aunts must have been talking to us about it.) It gave me a sweet Easter feeling.
When I was fifteen, my mom told a couple of stories about great-grandparents. It fascinated me. Family history is a slippery slope. :) Once a person starts down that path.... I collected some information then, but other things demanded time and attention.
Decades later, I have a bit more time to devote to Family History. I love helping others with family history by contributing to findagrave.com!

How are you related to Sariah Anna Johnson Eager Workman? She is my great great grandmother through her son Nephi Johnson Workman.
|Traci's Mom||Traci Fields|
Because of you and other wonderful findagrave friends, Traci now has 5,260 flowers/tokens, and her birthday is a little over a week away. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! We appreciate you all so much.
I'm in awe! To show you more of what Traci was like, I posted the following on her memorial page,
"Traci, my angel, I can see the big grin on your face for all the flowers you're receiving on your memorial page. You're telling me, "Mom, why are you so surprised there are so many good people in this world? You should have known that....." "You're right, sweetheart, I should have known".
Traci was a person of strong faith, and GOD took excellent care of her, and helped her through all her hardships! Her faith never waivered.
GOD, bless them all, and thank you for your wonderful gift of Traci.
We've received an outpouring of so much love for Traci. I will try to get to everyone's site and leave a flower/token for at least one of their loved ones. However, there are so many of you, it will take me a while.
Sharon (Traci's mom)
|Traci's Mom||Token you left for Traci Fields|
Andy, thank you very much for the token you left for my angel daughter, Traci. She was a wonderful gift from GOD, and she's in my heart and mind every single day. Her passing has left major holes in the hearts of her family and friends.
I appreciate you helping to reach my goal of 5,000 tokens by her birthday, November 20th.
I'm thankful and blessed for your kindness. GOD bless you for your heavenly heart.
Sharon (Traci's mom)

Can you transfer my grandfather's memorial to me? Samuel Linton Claridge, #117230484. Thanks so much.
|Lucy||Asking you to remove photos?|
Here is the note I left on For Emma....
Just read your note about asking someone to remove photos?? For reference: Findagrave Rules allow you to add 5 photos without sponsoring a memorial and 10 if the memorial is sponsored for only $5.00. Also. if you are the monitor you can use arrows and move photos up and down so they won't show on the front page. Also, you can sometimes combine photos before posting, so it goes on as one. Hope this removes your concern of too many photos.
Andy--I added Ole's info. Thanks

Taking down one will help; thanks.

|For Emma||Minnie Coleman|
What I was trying to do was reduce the number of pictures of her headstone. There are three now. You put up two. Could you take down one of them? The problem is that I am limited in the number of pictures I can put up per memorial; if there are three pictures of her headstone, I can't put up more pictures of her when I find them. Also, this pushes the picture of the cemetery to the bottom, which I can't control.
Thanks for your help.

Memorial # 83015635
You have posted two headstone pictures to the memorial I put up for Anna "Minnie" Tenney Coleman. I appreciate your posting a headstone picture, but you seem to have posted two pictures to Minnie's memorial. Could you take them down? I already had a picture of her headstone and extra pictures push other pictures out of sight.
I appreciate your efforts and willingness to share.
