Marran Gibbs?
Thanks for catching that, I have re-worded the statement to show the following:

""It has been said Anne's parents were John & Marron [Unknown last name?] Barnett, and has been suggested that Marron was a Gibbs, however, at this time, there is no proof or evidence supporting the suggested claim. **

In my datebase I had show Marran's parents as John L Gibbs and Mary Mullens, I have not pursued this lead, as it is not my direct lineage, but perhaps, someone has or can verify the children of this couple, I have no dates on the supposed parents either... just names.

Appreciate,
Mike White

I am a Baughman, but my line is from Virginia. Sometime in the past I had contact with your family. when I find their records I will send them to you.

RE: Fontanas in Dixon
OK! Mark Utley is a terrific manager, very responsive to edits. You can still upload photos of them if you find any good ones. There is a 5-photo limit, but if you have more and want to upload them, you can lift the limit by sponsoring the memorial for $5 - a one-time contribution.

Just be sure to change the setting from "GRAVE" -which is the default - to "PERSON" or "FAMILY" just above where you "select file" to upload.

And I will send this info to Mark, and he will add it under "bio". If you have more info he can add, or if he gets details wrong, you can click on the "edit" button on the memorial and send him any corrections or additional info.

Blessings!

RE: Fontanas in Dixon
Hi Adam,
I was actually en route to the Dixon office, having just stopped at the house to pick up my camera, when I saw your email. I confirmed with the cemetery office manager that there are not two burials each for the names Rose and Carlo Fontana. and confirmed the birth and death dates. The older memorials are also the more accurate ones. The newer ones were clearly initiated by the photographer and she misread the dates, and created new - unwittingly? - duplicate memorials, and by FindAGrave rules are to be deleted by the poster/creator/manager.

I also went out to see the stones myself and to my dismay and surprise, my camera battery died just before shooting the first photo! But I will tell you that the stones' carving is not very deep and the marble is quite prominently striped in grain. I went home, recharged my battery, and went back before sunset and photographed them in a way that made them more legible in picture form, and posted them to the original memorials, along with a photo of the three of them together.

I also want to say that the manager of the original sites is committed to accuracy and also to the hopes that all his sites end up in the hands of family or friends, so if you desire to manage these two memorials, just use the edit tab, select the first option on the resulting menu ("suggestions and corrections") asking for a transfer, and give him your volunteer number. If nothing else, use the tab to give him any bio or relationship information that he can add to connect them, and he will post the info on the sites. I am assuming Mary is Carlo's mom?? Rose and Carlo were husband and wife??? Who was Carlo's father?

Congratulations on finding your great grand parents!
Blessings,
kim
