I really don't think Mike Payne had any other info he came out and took pictures of the stones, we all have used some of the original info from long ago but I have never seen anything to the effect of a Allen Walden. Another person has made a list for our cemetery and I have found several mistakes in it and Allen Walden is listed there too. As far as I know that person has never been out here. I take the stones as the right info and bible pages, and things written years ago. The passage of time has a way of distorting the facts. If I ever found out any info I will let you know.

I have a book of people buried there, the local history group also has a copy of my folder. This is one of the first cemetery with white burials in Mclean County no record was ever kept as far as I know. I think some of the confusion may be that Allen Downey is on the same large stone as the Walden family. Allen T Downey and Emily were brother and sister. There are several other mistakes in the find a grave listing for what ever reason. There are some people buried there but have no real proof except logic. I do not record something unless I have some proof. Do you have something to go on that there was a Allen Walden I do not have his name down any where, except that Henry and Emily might have had another child. I am always looking for info to add to my records.

This cemetery is on our farm, most of the dead are my ancestors, some way. I have family research on most of the burials. I do not have a Allen Walden as a son of Henry and Emily Walden. I have 2 sons of theirs buried there, Frankie and Henry Lee, the father Henry B. is also buried there, their mother Emily[Downey] is buried in Ind. Any questions? I have been trying to correct the wrong info that is posted for our cemetery but no one seems to change it.

There is not a picture of the stone because there is not an Allen Walden buried in Indian Field Cemetery, there is a Allen T Downey. If you have any Questions let me know. Sally Breese Breese@Route24.net

The obit for Julia Walden was from the Oakland Tribune, which was on Ancestry.com, but they do not have that newspaper for the month Warren died. There is probably an obit for him but you would have to get the microfilm on inter-library loan or have someone look for it, by posting a request on Ancestry's message board for that county or on some similar message board for that county.

If you would want me to transfer the two Walden's to you, I will be happy to do that. Anita

You are very welcome.
I have already left a message for "the creator" explaining that she had the right Sunset View and that she needed to create two memorials, one for Warren and another for another person's husband that was on her list. There has never been a cemetery in Albany. I do have a photo of Warren's marker. Just waiting for the memorial.
