Cockerham, and Walters
I have helped a friend seek her Cockerham, Smith, and Walters line's, from Monroe County, Mississippi. Most of them are buried at the Cockerham Cemetery, and Walter Cemetery, near Bartihatchie, Monroe County, Mississippi.

Thanks for this information, I'll be sure and save it to my files, and seek more about their family.

I found her memorial, but didn't find a record for her family in my files? What other surnames are you seeking?

I have searched for Wiggins, but can't find this name in post. Are you sure I was the submitter?

RE: Charley and Londie Browning
Pat, Shirley didn't have the e-mail with her. Her friends were Frances and Jim Harmon and they live in Charleston. I think she said Frances was L.H.'s granddaughter. She belongs to L.H. anyway.
I hope this helps.

RE: Charley and Londie Browning
Pat, it has been close to seventy years since I saw Mr. and Mrs. Browning. If I remember right, I believe Fred was more like his Daddy. I know L.H,, Wesley or Art didn't look like him..maybe Arthur. With Mrs. Browning I believe Aunt Maud looked more like her Mama than Aunt Minnie did.
Mr. Browning wasn't tall or short. I guess about medium.
When Portia and I were in Charleston in March my cousin gave Portia some e-mail address of a friend who was a Browning. When Portia comes over tomorrow she can send them to you.
That is everything I know.

I hope you can find what you want....Bea.

RE: RE:Doris Browning
Hi Pat. The 7th, 8th, 10th or 11th would be fine. We go to church in Greenville on Sundays and after 2:00 PM getting home. Feb 12th we go to Memphis.

I'll get Jimmy Ward Newton's phone number and send you. He's Aunt Minnie Browning Newton's son. He and Louise lives in Charleston.

Doris Browning was living with Lucille and Johnny. They all died in Yazoo City.

Let me what day you can come and I'll send my address.
Take care...Bea.

RE: James Wesley Browning
Pat, I'd be happy for you to visit me, but I don't live in Tallahatchie County. I live in Cleveland, Bolivar County, Ms.It's about a forty-five minute drive from Greenville.
Jimmy Ward Newton, Aunt Minnie and Uncle Ward's son lives in Charleston, Tallahatchie Co. Aunt Minnie might have had some pictures of some of the family.

I wasn't married to James Wesley, but to his son Harris Byron (Buddy).
Take care...Bea.
