RE: GEORGE HAYDEN
Well, I spent the last hour searching Ancestry and Google for any info pertinent to your dad and grandfather. With the limited info I have nothing came up. Google, State Prison of Southern Michigan.
www.michigan.gov/document.
Records of the Detroit House of Corrections 1877-1983. These records are stored at the Burton Historical Collections in Detroit Public Library.
These records I would say are a must see for your situation.
Maybe you can get a hold of this Historical Society and they can do a little research in these index cards for you.
for instance:
RG83-86 Prisoner Index card catalog 1839-1980. Tells about sentences, county where crime occurred -some cards even have photos.
RG64-53 has physical descriptions, etc. and covers 1885-1944
Also RG-27 Has much info arranged in chronological
by date re'cd.
I would start here if it were me. This can have all kinds of info that can led you to your dad.
Hope this helps, Chanavee
