George Washington Mathis
Hi,
I noticed that you had posted on my 3rd Great Grandpa and have been at a blockage of his Dad and his grandparents.
I noticed George W Mathews and and Nathan Mathews living close by in Polk County Tennessee on the 1850 Federal Census.
I love to get as much information on this.

Thank You,

Shane Matthews

You've gotten further than I have! I haven't been able to find parents/grandparents! WOW!

I will have to go through my stuff and find them, but it won't be any time soon. I'm dealing with some personal things, plus my son is about to graduate from high school in less than a month. Just remind me after June 10th. :)

I'm sorry, I would not be able to help identify anyone in the picture. Thanks for asking. Carolyn

RE: Find a Grave
The only thing I know is what was in family notes that were handed down to me. Trust me, I have TRIED to find him. It's like he fell off that horse and was swallowed into the ground. I know when they got married, I know about the kids, but beyond that, I have zip.
