Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am currently photographing Midland Memorial Gardens, Lee Township, MI. Uploading will take some time. If you have a stone you would like added please let me know.

In 2014 I photographed and uploaded all the headstones from the Old Calvery Cemetery in Midland.

In 2013 I photographed and uploaded all the headstones from Midland City Cemetery. I have some photos of stones that are illegible.

If I have added your family member and you would like to manage their memorials please request a transfer. My goal is to reunite family members with their loved ones.

Thank you Rose for the suggestion of putting my Father-in-laws obit on his home page. I have this information but because family DOES NOT want this on there it will remain off until they are ready for me to add this additional information. Thank you again.

You Rock!
Thanks for the Carlson's and your quick response. I will be working on these, so if I'm able to verify any more connections (and I suspect I will) I will definitely get back to you.

I have added you as a Findagrave Friend. I don't do that much, but I find your mission so clear and so beautiful that I just want to acknowledge how special you are to those of us who are always searching. Your kindness and generosity are a beautiful thing. :)

Arthur F Carlson and Jessie M, his wife
Hi, Rose,

I, too want to thank you for doing what you do. I was deadending on the Carlsons - my dad's favorite aunt's son, but for some reason, I clicked on their files tonight and the trail led me straight to your door.

I know I'm not close kin, but we are kin! It is entirely possible that Arthur was born on my family's farm. His mom is my great-grandmother's sister, and she was born and buried here.

I'm not sure why Arthur and Jessie took off for that part of the world, but I can surely think of worse places to go!

I have submitted edits to link Arthur with his kin. There are two more Carlsons at Midland City that I suspect are mine, but it's a little early to call them home because I don't have the vitals on them. I believe that Baby, born 1939, may be mine, and that Lena is also known as Leora or Leonora and that she was really born in 1915 rather than 1905. Or maybe not. I'm letting her rest for a bit, too, to see what pops up.

Meanwhile, if you'd be willing to transfer these two, I'd be most grateful to bring them back into the fold. Fifty-two years they shared. I almost weep knowing how happy Sydney would be to hear that they had such a successful marriage. <3 Hers, sadly, ended too soon, as dad PJ died at a very young age. She never remarried.

Both Arthur and Jessie (or Maria as she came to be called) were born within 20 miles of where I sit right now. It's such a thrill to have found them, and that would NOT have happened without your efforts. KUDOS to you!

Arthur F Carlson 116855374
Jessie M Carlson 116855149

If you need documentation, just let me know. :)

Again, thanks so much for taking this on. I spent all night verifying this, and it's like Christmas morning. ;)

RE: Irene Chisholm
Irene (Rebarchek)Chisholm
married Melvin R. Chisholm
she was born 7-5-1910
she died 2-20-1998 (Flint area)
Uncle Melvin is in the Midland Cemetery and she died several years after him and I don't think her boys did anything other than cremation. Her name is on their joint stone with no death date. I may change this out of respect for her.
