I enjoy researching geneaology. I find that cemeteries allow us to gain a lot of information that sometimes is difficult to find elsewhere. I also enjoy helping others find their long lost relatives. If I can be of any help please contact me.|

Is there an actual grave for this Edward Maxey?
There are so many Edward Maxey's on findagrave and it is very confusing.
My family is connected via many generations back and I am working on genealogy.
Thank you so much for responding

Leah, No I do not know the exact spot where Timothy is buried and normally I would find out for you, but my wife passed away on 4-17-2016 and I'm extremely busy at this moment in time and not up to following up on this. But if you will stop in at Scott Funeral Home and talk to Mrs. Bolerjack, she will be able to tell you exactly where the burial site is located. Then, forward that to me and I will add it to him memorial.

Leah, The only thing that I can think of about your father's treasures is, look on the internet for the city that was the home of the Memphis Wings for a museum or in an area nearby. They will probably be glad to get these items. Other wise keep them and pass them down to a family member that will display and appreciate them. Good luck!

Leah, Thank you for your sweet comments. It has been a joy to try and help you. Hoping to make a difference whenever I can.

You will sometimes find strange things on death certificates. If you have checked everything that you can on ancestry.com or etc. I would look up the phone number for the library and courthouse in the area that she died. Call the library first and get them to see what they have on file. There may be a newspaper article about her somewhere. If you do not get an answer, check with the courthouse for any records that they may have.
It is always better to be there in person but, try these things first.
I have been where you are and sometimes you just have to resort to your own ideas. I just make notes as to my findings and keep them with the person or family. Someday it will all come together for you.
Let me know what you find out.

The large old white house that J.C. Peevy and Emily Odell Hall lived in was on Military Road in Ringgold, LA. I went to school with Evelyn Faye Peevy Parker who was the daughter of Elzie W. Peevy. Evelyn is a sister to J.C. Peevy. J.C.'s parents were Elzie W. Peevy and Jewell. Elzie's grandparents are, Joseph W. Peevy and Effie Peevy.
I did not know how far you wanted to go with the Peevy family but, thought I would send this information.
