This isn't mine but I saw how true it was within a short time of being on Find A Grave. |
I copied this to share from another member's site: I think it is a real shame what findagrave has evolved into. What started as a noble way to link people with graves of loved ones they could never hope to see, and with the generations that had preceded them, has turned into a game for some. Memorials have turned into a kind of "trading card", a competition of who can own the most memorials and post the highest numbers. What has been forgotten by many is that these were people, loved in life and death, not a commodity to be traded or owned. With my apologies to those that have pure motives. I hope there are more of us than there are of them

Hi, I was so fast because you called and found out his location--thanks very much for doing that!
Do you Agathe(a) Woodward transferred to you?
|Laura Goodman||Thank you|
I appreciate the family link to Gordon LaVeigne. Thank you for your assistance.

InMemory, I am not a direct descendant either, but I agree with having memorials as complete and correct as possible. Appreciate your comments. Regards, Linne

Thank you. I love what I do and hope that the work I do help others. If you ever need anything else please let me know!
No, I'm not a Bailey relative, just a Find A Grave volunteer for Jefferson County. I like to treat the people I'm searching for as family as they were someones loved one and deserve the respect due them. I like to know their background rather than refer to them as a name and number on a tombstone. Presently I am photographing Lake Ripley Cemetery in Cambridge WI. I'm about 1/3 finished but will continue in Spring after the snow has melted and temperatures have moderated.

Thanks for bringing the errors on the Pittman Family to my attention. I don't always verify what people send me (my bad) all though I typically check to see if its logical. Frank's wife was really his mother and I have that straightened out. Someone else has attached a child in the wrong place, so will contact them. Sorry for the mix up.
Happy New Year!

Thank you for the updates on the Rounsville families. They are my family members but I get behind sometimes in enteries and research since the family is so big. Typical of genealogy.
Thanks again and have a great holiday!
