Transfer of relatives
Hi! Welcome to Find-A-Grave.

Memphis is my home and I am very familiar with this cemetery as I have family buried there.

One of your family members were an "auto upload" from the Veterans Affairs office. Others in the cemetery have been entered by volunteers who have "mowed the rows" or walked the actual rows and entered memorials from records or photos they have taken.

What I think you need to understand is this is a grave registration site and not at "family tree" type site. Anyone can enter memorials - any memorials - without reguard to relationship or not. The site owner, Jim Tipton, does like contributors to maintain a "family first" for DIRECT relatives within 4 generations if the manager is not also related. The 4 generations include you, spouse, parents, grand parents, great grandparents, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Uncles, cousins, great, great grandparents, in-laws etc. do not fall within guidelines.

Now, if these relatives fall within guidelines, send a SAC using the edit tab on the top right of the memorial and request a transfer but you MUST include your relationship. The one from Veterans Affairs will most likely be transfered but his wife may not. If you have anything to add to the memorial, like the maiden name you included in yours, send it to the manager and request a transfer. If you get it be happy and if it is out-of-guidelines, don't be upset if you don't.

I hope you can find time and a way to contribute to this site such as entering memorials for cemeteries near you or photographing graves so that others my be able to discover relatives just as you have. It is a rewarding experience.
