Love all your memorial pages with great photos. Thanks so much. Thomas Vicknair (my ex husband) has no photos at all. THX

In early 1980 a crazy kid went through this cemetery with his truck and destroyed many grave markers and a good part of the property. The John Vargas family went through and did their best to repair what they could, but many were lost. I am not sure if they documented any that were lost but I will get in touch with him and see if he has any information. This cemetery is owned and managed by the Mission.

What I will do is to call the number for the cemetery and see if they can help out. The catholic cemeteries seem to be pretty cooperative in locating grave sites even those that are hard to find.

Thanks again! I think you are right, it is highly likely that Isaac and Joseph knew each other. And how lucky for me that you had Joseph's name in a picture - I'll definitely keep the pictures up there. I'm looking forward to visiting the Alamo on my next trip home to Texas. So true about the Civil War Corporal's quote as these men were so brave in the face of such odds stacked against them. A million thank you's again!
I walked every row and could not find it or any family with the same last name. There were many grave sites that are unmarked or have considerable plant growth around them. If you could be more specific or I can see if someone in charge of the cemetery can help.

|Kimberly Tyler-Shafiq||Huge Thank You!|
You are so kind to have sponsored the memorial for Joseph Rutherford and to have taken and added the amazing photos of his actual name on the Alamo cenotaph. Absolutely fantastic!! I cannot thank you enough as I was really wanting to get some photographs of his name. I showed this to my mother and she was completely blown away. I will definitely be showing this to my whole family, especially my nephew who will be joining the Marines. I think this will really be inspirational to him. Thank you so much again, God bless. Kim
|Kimberly Tyler-Shafiq||Thank you!|

OK - memorial merged. Your sponsorship is intact.
I would contact the contributor of the page to let them know the memorial is now sponsored. They will not receive a notice of the sponsorship since it happened before the memorials were merged.
Will ask next for the 2014 memorial to be merged.
