W. Lawrence Wise
I will post a photo of the Wise family graves. Ella, Annie, and George are the standard-sized headstones. W. Lawrence, clearly a child, is the smaller, older grave. The photo currently on the memorial is as good as I see you getting. I took several, in the afternoon and the following morning with a flash. The flash was too bright, much like the current, better photo.

I will post a group photo so you can contrast the gray, newer headstones with Lawrences. Youll see how blackened it has become. If you have special graphic software, take my photo and Photoshop it. Good luck.

RE: John cuddy
I did remove the pictures.
In looking for my gr aunt, I went by what her death certificate said, which was that she was taken to Homer City PA for burial. I searched for her in and around Homer City and never found her. I gave up finding her grave.
I made a trip to Elk County Pa to photograph her mothers grave. And lo and behold there was my gr aunt buried right next to her. I was really misled by her death certificate. Wonder if there's a plot map or burial list for Atwood cemetery?

John Cuddy
MaeRoo,

I went back over today to Atwood cemetery. I got out my paper that I took over with me the first time that had the list of requests. I took another woman and 2 teenagers with me. We went row by row and checked it twice today. There is not a marker for the John Cuddy that you wanted. I was very careful, and both me and the other woman checked each row twice for the entire cemetery.
There is the John W Cuddy b 1867 that I had the pic for before. There was a Johnston Cuddy with his family.
Also there was a John S Cuddy. Different middle initial and the dates did not match.

Sorry! I had three messages and they are not there now. Which grave was it?
please email me
highlandlassie @ verizon .net

I will look to see what I have that day. There were several names that I had printed the list for, and they were not in the cemetery. I think of the 11 requests, I could only find 6. There were 6 of us to go through it.
If I grabbed the wrong pic, I will go back again and look to see if I can find the right one. Just email me.

Dessert Tranfers
Mae, I just transferred four memorials to you. You didn't ask for transfers, so if you don't want to keep them just send 'em on back.

RE: Sorry!
Hi, Mae, There is no need for the apology; you know that I want sources, and you sent them. I found your email (with the sources/explanations) very interesting; it reminded me of how much I used to know about European history. Thanks, Mae.

RE: Death Notices
Hi, So a long time ago Spokane had 2 different newspapers. The Spokesman-Review and The Spokane Daily Chronicle.
The only difference between them was one came out in the morning and the other was our evening paper.
The Herald is a precursor to those papers.
Checking the Review now, so why don't you try the Chronicle for those dates.
