RE:Thomas Dutton
So you are researching MY ancestor anonymous!? Or are you just one of those people that looks at other peoples virtual cemetery for mistakes so you can complain? Oh wait, no photos taken, no memorials made, and 1 solitary flower on your 1 year, 9 month old account. I think I got my answer!

You are so welcomed. Have you read "Branches and Twigs" by Mary L. James? It's about this NC Capps family. It pretty much covers all the descendants of Wm. and Nancy and has a lot of good documentation such as deeds, records, etc. I have the book and also Wm. Capps pension records and those of some of his sons. If you're interested I'll be glad to share info. You can email me privately if you choose.

Cornellius Capps
Yes, I submitted the wrong birth date for Cornelius in the bio of his father William. I have SO much information that I get mixed up sometimes! Corneliius was the son of Wm and Nancy Cooksey Capps and was born in 1792 in NC. The names of Wm. and Nancy's children are engraved on a grave stone located at Historic Fortune Cemetery in Henderson County where Wm. and Nancy are buried. Cornellius is listed as the first child.
He is buried at Berea Baptist Cemetery in Henderson Co., NC.

I have a separate memorial on Findagrave for Cornellius with the correct information, and I have linked him to his parents and made the birth year corrections for him in the bio of his father William. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!

Your absolutely correct, a silly mistake that made no sense when you look at the dates. Thanks for the heads up, I removed that portion of the bio.

I will try to look into it as soon as I get the chance. I'm currently tied up with my online school preparing for my finals this semester.
