Bio Photo I'm Emily and I live in West Tennessee, about 40 miles north of Memphis. I was introduced to this site while researching my own family history. I am an empty nester and have some free time. I love exploring old cemeteries! It is calm, peaceful, and quiet. Taking photos for others is my new hobby.

I'm finding that many of the requests are for old graves. I have searched for quite a few, but only found 3 so far. The old headstones are sometimes worn smooth by the elements. Some have only initials. Others are unmarked or missing a headstone. Despite all this, I will give it my best shot!

RE: McLister, John C.
Emily, for some reason, the headstone photo is attached to Mamie's memorial, but NOT to Ladell's.

RE: McLister, John C.
Thank you so much for checking on a headstone for John Chisholm McLister (1835-1921). Sorry you could not find one. Makes you wonder if there ever was one. Recently I had to dig down through 3 inches of dirt to find a headstone. (Fortunately the headstones in that cemetery were very precisely positioned, so it was easy to locate by gently poking the point of my grass clippers into the dirt where it should have been.)

Dr. William Alexander Lenow McLister (1862-1940) was John's son by Mary (Allen) McLister. I already have photos of the headstone for William and Effie Della Dewese.

I do not, however, have photos of their two daughters Mamie and Ladell. I would very much appreciate having copies of those. If it's OK with you I would attach those photos to their Findagrave memorials, giving credit to you for taking the pictures.

Thanks again!

RE: Photo request for John & Sarah Bringle
That would be great if you could check the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery for the missing Bringles. It would be so exciting if you found them. This is quite a puzzle. Good luck and thanks.

Photo request for John & Sarah Bringle
Dear Emily
Thank you so much for all your efforts. I appreciate your search efforts.
I have discovered there is a mystery regarding these headstones.
Find A Grave has them listed at the Walton Cemetery which you have searched but I see that on their death records they are listed as being buried in the Mount Lebanon Cemetery.
Is that near you?
I wonder if I should remove my initial request and start new photo request? But that won't work because they are not listed at Mt Lebanon Cemetery in Find A Grave. I know this is confusing to you and me.
I may have to give up.
Thanks again for your help.

Thanks so very much for locating, photographing, and posting these excellent headstone photos. I have been to Randolph cemetery (among many others in Tipton County, Tennessee), but can't get there as often as I would like since it's an 8-hour drive. I have family living in Brighton, and try to go there for each granddaughter's birthday. Do you live somewhere close to Brighton?
Thanks again,
