|I have been doing genealogy research for over ten years. I continued my paternal aunt's genealogy research but branched out from direct line to try and cover all the descendants in each generation. I am currently trying to locate photos for all generations.|

I wish I knew more. I was actually taking photos for a different request and this one was SO different to the others in the Wildwood Cemetery that it stuck out to me and I thought I'd take a picture of it. The Wildwood Cemetry is the cemetery for Terrell State Hospital. Originally, all the graves were marked with just a number on stone. The hospital "upgraded" the markers to include the initial of the first name, the last name, and the dates if known. There are hundreds of very plain markers in row after row. When I came across this one it was very evident that someone had gone to a lot of trouble and expense to add this marker for her. I just liked it and took the picture.
I'm sorry I don't know more. I wish you well in finding more information about her.

Hi! I would have sent you an e-mail, but you don't have one listed. First of all, I am not related either and my information came from his death certificate. However, from what you have said about his birth date and parents names, I would say that I am probably 99% sure he is the same one you are asking about. I can't imagine 2 different Walter Petty's born in the same month and year, with mother Belle (Edwards) Petty/ Mollie Belle (Edwards) Petty. The Erbin/Otto, I am not sure of. It just could be wrong information on the death cert., or maybe he could have been Otto Erbin Austin Petty. Or maybe Otto or Erbin was a nickname. I really don't know.

|Lanny Medlin||RE: W. Leach Find-A-Grave Memorial|
From the beginning Find a Grave is about family. A more personal web-site than GEN WEB and the like, giving distant families a place to leave virtual flowers and sentiments of those unable to visit the grave due to distance.
I have added nearly 10,000 memorials with photos of the headstone for family, I do not have time to add the many, many requests to add additional information or link memorials. This is for the family who care for the person.
I wonder why those who are not related ask to add information. If you do not want to take the time to add information then I suggest that you not ask someone else to do it.

Thank you for your kind words about the memorials for the Shaw family. Find A Grave has been a useful tool for me and has introduced me to a wonderful group of folks. Are you related to the Shaw or Warmbold family lines?

Please check to see if the "home" marker is not a Cenotaph. The contributor should have noted it as such so people wouldn't be confused and think there was a mistake.
