RE: Eliza Mardis McDaniel
It is pretty interesting to see what went on in the "good old days". You may be right about Ulyssses not bothering to get a divorce. Who would know? We can only guess about their lives. I am so glad to hear from you and if you find more on the family, I would appreciate you sharing it with me.

Linda:

I am a descendant of Jerry's sister, Phoebe Ann Parks Westmoreland, who is my great great grandmother. Do you have any info on the rest of the siblings? I could only find Harvey and Jerry.

Linda,
You are more than welcome. I wish I could have been more help. I am not a direct descendant of the McDaniel or Mardis family but my Mathis family married into those families. I get most of my info from the Marshall Co. Ky. books that I have or from online contributors. I am sure your research is as accurate as we can possibly expect since records were scarce back then. Good to hear from you and let me know if I can help in any way.

RE: Eliza Mardis NcDaniel
Linda,
I would tend to go with your research rather than info gathered from the internet. I got her name as Mary from a web site. It is possible that is incorrect since they do not have her last name correct. It should be Mardis. I am going to change her burial info to unknown since I did not know they were living in Stoddard, Mo. when she died. I would trust your years of research over some of the info online. Since so many have been buried with no stone, I must have assumed she was buried with her husband but no stone.
